Julian Morgan,
a young man haunted by the disappearance of his film maker father,
travels to a remote village at the foothills of the Venezuelan
Andes. There, Julian seeks Chucho, a reclusive mountain guide
who was the subject of his father's final documentary footage.
Ignorant of traditional
ways and desperate to find a conclusion to his father's fate,
Julian demands that Chucho lead him up the mountain to where
his father was last seen. Sick of intrusion and fearful of being
blamed, Chucho refuses.
Julian sets out
alone, only to be saved by Chucho from the desolate mountain
landscape. Unwilling to witness a second casualty, Chucho takes
Julian to the glacier that so fascinated his father.
Climbing ravines,
traversing fields of ancient Frailejon plants they were entranced
by the presence of a wild white horse.
In the place
of uncertainty emerges a bond of trust, understanding and renewed
faith.
